her world or mine
Beneath the same vast sky we lay, yet worlds apart we seem, One heart dances in the light, the other lost in dream. She found her path through the forest thick, where sunlight warmly streams, While I wander 'neath the moon's soft glow, chasing what once gleamed. Her laughter rings with new-found love, a melody so sweet, I hear it in the whispering wind, where our memories gently meet. She's turned the page, a story fresh, with characters anew, I read our chapters over again, not ready for my cue. She rests with ease when day is done, in another's warm embrace, I count the stars that we once wished on, now fading into space. Her world is bright with morning's hue, mine dusk's eternal light, One of us has found new dawn, while one still braves the night.
