Her Silence and Smile
At five in the morning, from Hyakumanben’s hostel view, Thoughts of her rise, in the soft morning dew. A face so cute, with a smile so bright, Even in her flaws, she’s a perfect sight. A little round, but in the sweetest way, Her charm never fades, come what may. She’s a bit lazy when it comes to tasks, But with books, she’s sharp, no need to ask. A dash of attitude, just a little more, But in that too, there's something to adore. She’s seen dark days, battles within, Where love once was, now silence has been. She loved once, but time pulled them apart, Maybe that's why she's guarded her heart. This poem is hers, of joy and of pain, Of someone who may never love again.
