Her Beauty
She saw herself And she saw flaws Things that could be fixed Reasons she wouldn't be loved I saw her And I saw beauty Joy And light A smile so bright It could replace all the darkness Life has ever thrown my way She saw the mirror A reflected replica A mere idea Of what she was I saw eyes so deep You got lost Sinking into their depths Hands that were soft Gentle And kind And brown curls That framed a radiant face What she thought was plain Was the same thing That stopped me Dead In my tracks A distraction that momentarily Left me confused Just Trying to remember Where my mind left off She saw herself And she saw flaws But I knew She would never know beauty Until she truly saw Herself
