Her
My heart was once a flame that burned bright, Until I let it fade, and lost her light. I begged for her attention, craved her gentle reply, Longing to know she was safe, and her heart was still mine. Now, her silence is a storm that rages inside, A reminder of the love I let slip away with pride. She was my peace, my guiding star, my missing part, The one who brought calm to my soul and soothed my heart. I'm lost without her, unable to eat, sleep, or think, My world is shattered, my heart, a heavy link. I've lost the right to complain, to mourn, or to sigh, For I was the one who let our love die. But still, I hold on to hope, a glimmer of what's past, A chance to redeem myself, to love her true at last. If our love story has a part two, I'll make it right, I'll cherish, honour, and adore her through the dark of night. I still love her, with every breath, with every beat, My heart, a love letter, written in tears, in defeat.
