Helping Hand
In this fake world, every act has a motive, A friend, a relative, all see the profit from you. No hands here bear the branch of olive, All have got a dagger, no one here is true. The hands which give you the beautiful rose, Are the hands which give you sharp thorn. Be careful with the people whom you choose, Because the closest ones make you mourn. Even the shadows leave you in the dark, And we expect a helping hand in that time. How naive our mind is at that mark, That we long for a never existing lifeline. The only helping hand you will get in your life, Is your own, to help you now and in afterlife.
