Heavenly Paradise
When you imagine heaven what do you see? A soothing ambience of praise, joy and peace A place that resides the highest throne Filled with angels and earthy souls Streets of pure gold like transparent glass Adorned with the most precious gemstones- Is the walls of the great and glorious city Illuminated by the candescence of His glory What my eyes can't behold Where my sinful feet can't stand When I think of heaven I think of a paradise I don't deserve but demand Knowing I've been rewarded the greatest gift A place lovingly prepared for me I anticipate to meet the man upstairs Then I can get some questions cleared I want to put on pristine white robes And escape to my faraway mansion Blissfully lounging amongst clouds Forgetting every pain, worry, anguish and doubt I want to dwell in the great city someday To hear the choir of angels sing Holy, holy and holy A place where my stained hands could never be worthy Somewhere beyond earth awaits Will I ever witness those pearly gates? I want to look back and realise It wasn't a result of my good deeds Trial after trial I wonder how the promised land will be So when you imagine heaven and see I hope you picture it all by me
