Heartbreak & Love Ever so Dif-
-ferent (end of title) I thought about how I loved you How I've loved others before How those had felt Like the same love But this had something more I don't think it was the butterflies Or how when I was with you everything else went black I think it was just always harder Knowing you liked me back It wasn't the loving you that broke me It was the heartbreak of what we'd never share It was the feeling of hopelessness That came with knowing you too would always care The heartbreak was what broke me apart in my sleep The heartbreak was what invaded my thoughts and would creep Into the happiest moments in life Poisoning the blade of the already sharp knife So now that I understand the cause My heart may hurt less knowing the flaws In the feeling I believed was caused due to love And now I shall hide Wear my mask like a glove
