Heart of Gold, Silver Soul
The Heart of Gold liked walks around the beach, Watched the sun set where no one heard her screech. The flowers captured beauty as her own. She wouldn’t let her loved ones feel alone. The Silver Soul shone brighter in the sea, She wanted the world to know she was free. Speed was her ally and valor, her sword, Protected the spirits of those she adored. A Heart of Gold and a Silver Soul, Make the mixture perfect, whole. A broken heart is dead without repair, A ring means nothing if not in a pair. Black feathers may not shine, though they hide gold. Orange fur buries silver, still unsold. Together, they fly, they paint brand new stars, Heal in each other the outside world’s scars. Wings and arrows, Eros akin, Foolish to hide what lies within. Better to keep close to their chest, Feelings of home till they can rest.
