Heart of Fire
My heart is on fire Burning bright and warm Crackling snaps like live wire Dancing as if to perform "I wish to help! Let me help" I call, as i try to give some warmth This warmth of my heart "No, we don't want you!" They yelp "Your fire leaves us deformed" And it's true My heart is ablaze, hot and scalding I burn too much, the flames seeping through But i don't know how to turn it off How do you turn off your heart? How do you extinguish the flames The flames of love and anger, oh, i must start! For the others, this inferno demands to be tamed I must grab water, yes, that'll do the trick To put out this fire Before I lose them all, as the clock ticks My heart will steam with smoke Dead and dry But at least it will no longer provoke And the others will no longer fry
