Heart Of A City
I guess this is it I'm really doing it Leaving; arriving as I please, on my own schedule in the heart of a city whose heart is changing color I, in my basement apartment, will play my part to influence the spectrum But d@mn I start out feeble Shaky and in the red I still don't fully believe I still can't fully forget that I'm doing this alone now By myself; for myself That the city's heart like any other's may simply not accept me That every foot set outside might turn me right back in That I don't know how I've gone so long without So I'm willing naked need to mean the sprawl will supply my demands
