Heart-crushed
Guess what happened at the end of my day: I fell down; my heart got crushed. My life got in the way. I'm disappointed it all happened so fast. I would have appreciated a slower burn, 'cause your life is over before you know it. A spirit; a purpose, that goes by too fast. There's too much to take in, absorb and learn. The dreams of tomorrow will never last. I know all my loves will quickly pass. That is true of the loves that I've known in the past. That's what my experience has shown. If have to live my life anyway, then I want to live. I want to give all I can give, to take the time, to live my life my way and slow everything down as it rushes on; to experience the pain, the storms, the rain, and even the heart-crushes.
