Hear Me Lord
Hear me, Lord. Heal me. In the stillness of my anguish, I cry out to You, For You are the One who searches hearts and discerns thoughts You know me entirely, in shadow and in light. Wash away the stain of my transgressions, And with merciful hands, wipe every tear from my eyes, For apart from You, I am but dust and breath. You are my Maker, the Artisan of my soul, The Mender of all that is fractured within me. Omnipotent in power, omniscient in wisdom, omnipresent in grace You are the eternal God whose understanding has no limit. Before a word forms upon my tongue, You perceive the unspoken longing of my spirit. Remember Your covenant, O Lord, And come swiftly to my rescue, As You parted the sea for the children of Israel And led them through the wilderness with a pillar of fire. Let Your unmerited grace seek me out in my valley, Envelop me in its shelter, And bear me on eagles’ wings beyond this trial. In the silence where fear speaks loudest, Let Your voice thunder peace into my bones. Anoint my brokenness with purpose, And turn my mourning into a song of deliverance. For You alone are my refuge, my fortress, My Redeemer from everlasting to everlasting.
