healing waters
Your presence was like a knickpoint, disrupting my flow A sudden drop, where emotions plunged, and I didn't know How to navigate the new terrain, the changed landscape of my heart Where feelings of love and hurt converged, a new base level to start Like a river's rejuvenation, my emotions were reborn A new cycle of erosion, where old wounds were reborn I tried to find my way, through the new landscape of my soul But the rapids of heartache, kept me from finding my goal Will I ever find my calm waters again? Will the currents of heartache ever subside? Can I carve out a new path, and leave the past behind? Or will the memories of you, forever be my guide? My heart was like a river, carving out a new path A new valley, shaped by the waters of love and aftermath The waterfalls of memories, still cascade down my mind But I'll find my way, to a new floodplain where love will redefine Will I learn to flow around the rocks of pain? Can I find a new source, to replenish my heart's rain? Or will the drought of heartbreak, forever leave me dry? Only time will tell, as I navigate this river's sigh
