Healing is not an excuse
Yes, mental health matters. Yes, your pain is valid. But healing doesn’t work without honesty. And there’s a line we don’t talk about enough: "You can’t trauma your way out of accountability". You can’t make your story the shield that keeps hurting others without consequence. Healing asks for compassion, but it also asks for responsibility. Growth means facing what you’ve done, not just what’s been done to you. If we want real freedom, we have to stop using brokenness as a hall pass for bad behavior. God doesn’t shame us for our wounds, but He doesn’t excuse the harm we cause either.
