Headland
Land, Embraced by water Lapping its sandy shores. Jagged cliffs, A Lighthouse is perched Stable, tall, guiding Mariners home from aquatic affairs. Rocks scattered, Slicing waves Where land once stood proud. Soon, the Headland will align With the bay next door Eroding imperceptibly By the current that lashes In the violent storms. But, alas, Today is calm Puffins perched in the crevices Seals bathing Here life is good The sun shines brightly, Cloudless, warm Beautiful.
