He waited.
He waited, like a steady stone, While i grew silent, where my words had flown. my messages ceased, the calls all stilled, My weary heart was no longer thrilled. I dimmed, like a lamp with fading light, I was afraid show him my troubled self. My vulnerable soul,so I hid away, I vanished without a sound, Leaving unanswered, hollow ground. No reasons given, no goodbye, Just emptiness. But in that void, his love stood fast, A promise whispered from the past. He waited, though he didn't know, What storms had made my spirit slow. He waited, patient, strong, and true, Believing love would see me through. He waited, yes, for me to mend, A faithful friend, until the end.
