He Loves, But Not Too Much
He cares for me, yet not deeply so, A whisper of affection, just a faint glow. His love, a language I cannot decode, It seldom reaches me, a heavy load. He knows my essence, yet I’m still in the dark, His truths remain hidden, a flickering spark. While I lay bare, an open tome, He stays unchanged, far from home. He’s aware of my dislikes, yet forgets with ease, His indifference lingers, a chilling breeze. He loves me, but the depth feels slight, And in this weariness, I lose my light. Loneliness wraps me, sadness takes hold, Why do I cherish him, when warmth feels so cold? Why can’t his heart mirror the love that I show, In this tangled dance, where feelings don’t flow?
