He Has a Dream
The purple lighting sets the stage "Oohs" and "ahhs" arise from the crowd A boy, beautiful as a page Saxophone endowed Lovers swoon and poets gleam In his eyes, this boy has a dream His embrochure hiding a smile All this waiting has been worthwhile The first notes come out and jaws drop How can he be below us, yet still on top? Tears fall and the room is silent Taking over our hearts like a tyrant The light from his instrument Reflects off of the walls It seems as if this moment is infinite It makes sense how everyone else falls It does the singing for him He must be destined for greatness A spotlight no one could dim Could a soul be fateless? Passion pours through all of our veins And we all forget to breathe Holding us by the reins To God, he must be a thief
