Have You Ever Felt

Ever just feel like giving up on life But you have kids and a wife So you wouldn't because it wouldn't be right Lost in darkness so long you're weary of light No optimism. No hope in sight Just a perpetual cycle of struggle and strife Both in the physical and in the mind Constant state of fight or flight Painted into a corner waiting on my demise Trapped on a cliff edge with no where to hide Living in burnout where daily you cry For seemingly no other reason than you are alive But you have to keep that stiff upper lip and chin up to the sky And for the ones you love you just have to buck up and survive No matter what life throws at you, you just have to not give up and continue to try So have you ever felt that or is it just little ol' me myself and I © DannyNorman
