Haunting Before Death
Throughout my life, I roamed alone, A ghostly figure, heart of stone. Long before the bullet's bite, I dwelt in darkness, endless night. My spirit, weary, worn and frayed, In sorrow's grasp, forever stayed. The bullet's path, a cruel decree, But in my soul, no life to flee. So now I bid this world adieu, No tears to shed, no ties to rue. For I was dead ere fate's cruel nod, In the silence, my soul long trod. With a dim farewell, I fade away, A specter lost to night's array. Remember me, if you would dare, But know I was not truly there.
