haunted
'do you hear that?" i asked my friend, confusedly she replied 'what?', 'the music', i answered, how could she not hear it? it sounded as loud as if a whole orchestra was playing in our room. she looked at me, startled and scared, not knowing what to say; 'there's no music playing,' she replied, slowly, as if she were talking to a child. and I realised that i was the only one who could hear the piano. 'can you see him?', i asked her she looked in the direction i pointed; 'there's nobody', she replied,'maybe you saw a tree, the branches are blowing in the wind.' but I was sure he was there, waiting for me to be alone and i was the only one who could see him. and tonight, when my world was full of noises no one could hear, and shadows no one could see, i went to my window and turned my face to the sky; 'please', i said, 'please take all these ghosts of my heart'. i paused, a tear runned down my face. 'i don't want to be haunted anymore'
