Hatred
Hatred is a needle Sucking out the life in you, Until there's nothing left. It cuts away the soft parts And leaves you hollow. I've seen what it does. How it lingers long after the moment has passed. How it reshapes you without asking. Turning violence into food for the soul. But hatred also shows the places in us where we feel, where we care, where love lived. And maybe that's what love is about. About choosing to stay even in the damage of the world. Because what is love, really, if it has never known pain? Hatred burns fast. It takes everything and leaves nothing. But love… love stays. Slow. Quiet. Growing in places that were once broken. And the hardest part is this: to love the one who hurt you. Not by forgetting. But by understanding what made them that way. Seeing the pain they never faced. And choosing not to carry it forward. Because hurt does not end when it is passed on. It ends when someone refuses to continue it. That is love. Not easy. Not soft. But real.
