Hate's cruel embrace
In shadowed depths, hate's grip consumes my soul, A tempest rages, consuming me whole. A venomous seed, planted deep within, It spreads its roots, poisoning from within. A dark abyss, where love once held its sway, Now echoes with bitterness, night and day. The tendrils of anger, tightly entwined, Suffocate joy, leaving no peace to find. But even in darkness, a glimmer remains, A flicker of light, defying the chains. For hate may be fierce, its flames burning bright, But love, oh love, possesses endless might. I search within, for the strength to break free, To cast off this burden, and let my heart see, That hate is a choice, a path I can stray, But love is the compass, guiding my way. In shadowed depths, where hate's grip once held tight, I choose to release it, to let in the light. For hate may consume, but love can restore, And heal the wounds that darkness bore. So let the shadows recede, as love takes hold, For in its embrace, my soul can unfold. No longer confined by hate's cruel embrace, But free to live, and love, and find grace.
