Happily ever after

In fairy tales everyone gets happily ever after. Where horror stories turn to laughter. And life seems to good to be true. I know this because I trusted them too. But fairy tales only begin at 'The End'. Because even Cinderella had to pretend. And Snow White had to put up a fight. Even Rapunzel never got to see the true light. So when does happily ever after start? Is it something you seek in your heart? Truthfully I'm sick of happily ever after stories. Tired of heros' too filled in their glories. In fairy tales everyone gets happily ever after. But not everyone can be life's master. And life can be more than difficult at times. And it sure as hell ain't all nursery rhymes. I think we forget what fairy tales are. And even so that's were we set the bar. Maybe happily ever doesn't exist. Or maybe it's just in stories, like when love first kissed.
