Half alive, still breathing
We visioned ourselves to be the best Sometimes, we forget the time to rest How we wish to be better and better every day What if our body cannot hold on with us to stay? Still breathing, injecting effort Pushing things through its cords Sacrificing our want just to get a goal However, things sometimes go out of our control Throughout that time, all we felt was disappointment and exhaust I may say I'm weak, yes, I am But throughout the day, I said, Why can't I get it? Why do others get it easily? What do I need more to sacrifice my being? What can I do more to be able to finally stand against thorn ground? Why? It's so hard. Crying, locking myself in the corner, thinking, breathing Can I still make it? Even if the wounds are greater than my strength, can I still make it? Even my eye is blurred to see the end of the road, can I? Can I go on? Lying on the plain floor, still breathing My body is half alive, but still breathing My eyes slowly close their lids, but my mind is humming Whispering my soul, 'dear, you have me. We can still go on and aim to our once-made dream.' Still breathing, still fighting.
