Had I known π
Had I known that day would be our last, I'd have held your hand and made it forever last. That smile, your final, I'd have etched in my mind, And listened closer to your last whispered find. We thought our love would burn, a flame so bright, A beacon in the dark, a guiding light. But fate had other plans, and took you away, Leaving me with memories, night and day. If only I had known, I'd have told you so, How much I loved you, and made our love grow. I'd have made every moment count, every kiss, Every whispered promise, every tender wish. But life doesn't give warnings, or second chances too, All I'm left with is longing, and memories of you. I'll hold on to them, and whisper low, "I love you," hoping you'll hear, wherever you go.
