Guilty as Sin
Decision comes with price, and so my life Delicate fires would burn me alive Who am I? without my lies. Something ignites I wish it died. Some eyes say it's not right Others mouths look like knife Sharp to make you bleed Aligned idealism to make believe Between pages, I write Unknowingly I thought it was right To burn those pages would have saved me Yet I could not start the fire I don't deny, I'm hanging a thread Where it penetrates my conscience I didn't mind, but my heart did Being a villain was not on my end So I tried to make it go, Battling some unsettling war I thought I've won or maybe The sword can't make it stop My courage wasn't enough. Hate is a strong word and so does my perception of you I would burn the world to make it stop Buried it until the universe finds its end To you and wonders protagonist I'm guilty as sin.
