Guiding light
You were a glimmer of hope in the dark, stormy seas that life has taken me through A beacon of kindness and generosity, the North Star in those blackest nights. As you guided me through the treacherous ocean, you slowly illuminated all that was around me. You showed me the beauties of the sea, the color of life. The expressions of true love that this earth had to offer. Yet this light also shone upon the monsters that swam beneath my feet. Their ghoulish, barbaric means of survival. The wonders below slowly lost there radiance as I ruminated upon the savage beasts that called it home. As trepidation grew, my eyes slowly drifted from the light, back into the dark. Back to the blissful black sea.
