Growing up is hard.
Some days my mind feels like a room that never goes quiet, thoughts piled in corners, voices made from stress, memories replaying louder at night. I smile a lot anyway. Not because everything’s fine, but because explaining sadness takes more energy than pretending you’re okay. I grew up a little too fast, learning how to read moods before words, learning silence can be safer than saying the wrong thing. So I escape into things — music shaking through headphones, painting my nails at midnight, video games, stories, small worlds I can control when my real one feels messy. Sometimes I feel invisible. Sometimes I feel like people only notice me when I’ve done something wrong. But there’s still a version of me that wants more from life. The girl who laughs too loud, dreams too big, posts videos hoping somebody connects, creates things because she needs somewhere to put all her feelings. Maybe healing isn’t becoming a completely different person. Maybe it’s just learning how to carry your mind without letting it crush you. And maybe one day I’ll look back at myself now and realise I survived years I thought would break me.
