Growing up
I remember the open roads of possibilities, the “Oh sweety remember to follow the rules at your friend's house”, the “It's just a scrape. You'll be fine.” I remember the “Your team might have lost the game, but remember you had fun too.” I remember our free time, the freedom to act like kids in the summer. Then being told we have to act like controlled human beings at school. Number one, I’m a kid, I’m supposed to act like a kid. Number two, Since when did we get homework shoved in our face, like it's the last thing we want on planet Earth? I'm confused. Then I turn around and realize that my family and friends are at my house, with birthday signs and gifts. Now it's like, Oh crap! I just realized tomorrow is my 19th birthday! I’m freaking out over turning into a legal adult! Time doesn't fly by as fast when you are a kid living your life, like you're the author, of your own story. As you get older your schedule becomes way too busy, where you start screaming in your boss's face, for one single day off. You want that day off so you can turn it into a day, where you can focus on yourself, for once in your life. Oh, and don't forget your house, you seem to complain about how messy it is.
