Growing pains
We wanted to grow so fast, we acted like grown-ups. We became adults and found out we had been lied to. No princess trapped in a castle, no princess with an evil stepmother, no princess bound in endless sleep, no princess cursed to look like an ogre. No knight in shining armor, no true love’s kiss. We grew up— woke up to a reality that hits hard. A reality with no princess to save or kiss, no prince or knight in shining armor, just plain people with no guarantee of a happily ever after. We are all just kids who grew up too soon.
