GRATITUDE
A couple miles from here, a man lies starving in the street, with a tin-can and a guitar🎸, just to win a bite to eat. A woman huddles under a bridge, by the light of a glowing dumpster fire🔥, while we dine here at our tables, with everything that we desire. Another sleeping at the bus stop, with no place to call a home, alone in the bitter cold, while we sit here on our phones. Sometimes i feel alone, but i can't imagine what it's like, to be living on the edge of life, each and every night. So, I thank my lucky stars, as i reflect. At least i have a home and a comfy bed to rest at night. If there is a God, I think he blessed me right, and even on the days i struggle, I never give up the fight.
