grandma is a bruja
my mama and old man cut contact not even a week after I turned ten then you came screaming at my door youd never done that before you were screaming for my dad though he's not your son anymore cussing and screaming for my mom though she lost respect for you years ago standing at the door with innocence frightful and asking why you were begging me to let you in but I never let you in cops got called you fled the scene and I sheltered my brother in the room where we couldn't hear your screams I look at you know with untamed disgust forgive and forget but I'm not one for either never have been never will I got a niece shes your daughter's daughter I see her once in a while she loves my hair and smile youve given her all of it the things you couldn't bear to give me as a child grandma.. why not me? I'm older now that I understand but watching my baby with the things you kept from me "it's yours, but you can't have it" it was never mine I know that taking it from my grasp as a kid did something to me now I never feel enough and you can give her your love but that can't take back those nights I shared with you the horrible things I shared with you 10 years like forever I hope you feel better bruja
