Grace
Everywhere I go, I see your name. It's not just letters; it's you, haunting me. It's there when I wake up, in the morning sunlight that sneaks through the blinds, tracing the letters on my wall. In the quiet moments, the lonely nights, when I'm left with nothing but my thoughts. I find it in places it shouldn't be, in the lines of songs we used to sing, in the creak of the floorboards at night, in the scent of your old sweater I can’t throw away, and in the flickering glow of streetlights on lonely walks home. It's there, whispered in passing conversations, etched in the rain-soaked pavement, in the frothy swirls of my coffee, in the credits of a movie, in the graffiti on the walls, scribbled in the margins of old books, even in the clouds sometimes. You’re everywhere and nowhere, all at once. I can't escape it, I can't escape you. I can't escape the way it tugs at memories, resurrecting feelings I thought I long buried. You're in my mind, in my heart, in the very air I breathe. And so, I carry your name like a burden, a secret I cannot share, a sorrow I cannot shake.
