government dogs
Oh, mighty tower of power and pride, Where promises dwell, but truths often hide. The stewards of order, the keepers of law, Yet shadows grow long beneath what we saw. A system of rules meant to shield and to guide, Can also oppress, can also divide. Voices grow hoarse crying out for their needs, While corridors echo with whispered misdeeds. Ambition can blind those who sit on the throne, Forgetting the faces that call them their own. Greed seeps through cracks, like water through stone, And people are left feeling battered, alone. But still we believe in the dream of a voice, In a system that listens, that offers a choice. For governments falter, but people endure, And hope is a force both mighty and pure. So rise with your questions, your will to demand, For power must answer the voice of the land. And though it may stumble, may falter, may fall, The spirit of justice outlives them all.
