Good To Be Back
We arrive at the door, that was smashed in before, Take a deep breath and then pick up our jaws. We climb up the stairs and turn left to the hall, Thoughts flash through our minds, how could life be so cruel? Still we actually know how lucky we've been, as the Council tried everything to stop us getting back in. That's right, they threw both of us out of the place we called home, Gave us no help at all, God we felt so alone. We did all that we could, to keep the roof over our heads, But the Police and the Council would not find us a bed. We now had to find somewhere, even in someone's shed! Sadly for us, our Dogs could not stay by our side, Nowhere to run to, nowhere to hide. Thankful to Ed's Mum, who allowed us to stay, Even though she was vocal, we really got in her way. She would show her resentment, then quite open and honest would say, she'd like us to "fuck off elsewhere" When we asked to lend money, she'd say "ask someone who cares!" We survived there together for four difficult months, And her last words to us were "time to go, junkie cunts!" So you see that is the reason I'm glad to be back, But I hate to admit, we are still smoking crack!
