Gone by Sunday
Gone by Sunday by Jack A.S. Dunce Amidst the night's black sky, An emptiness up high, Adrift in cold darkness Of utter nothingness, A spark out of nowhere That caught and burst as flare And bathed everything In flash of chain lightning, Streaking across the dark With dissipating mark. So sure of every start, But always falls apart; When moments do heat up, Its bonds end in breakup As noise in the airways And gone before Sunday. --🏵️-- ©️pgmr 06/22/2025 *Inspired and dedicated to that one Sunday -- It was fun while it lasted. 😉
