God's Hands
God's Hands If you asked me what it felt like to be in the hands of God I wouldnt know what to tell you Yet I have been in His hands since the beginning of time Something he saw was good Something He saw as special Something He held close Set apart yet never too far Close enough to see but never in harm's way Many only saw me but never the hands I stood in A great light yet it was always unobtainable Some say its favor Some call it divine protection But maybe just maybe you always knew that I was a creation who could not survive without its creator You always knew even if you asked me I wouldnt leave your side Not because I feared man or this world But I feared not having you near And just like a father you carried me close Your light kept me warm during my darkest days Your love never wavered I weeped in your hands and you collected every tear You wept silently Waiting for the expected date and time that I would embrace Who I am and whom I belong to Fine tuning my discernment to discern you I will never truly know why I will never truly understand But I will not be moved
