God Told Me
We throw His name around so easily, “God told me…” as if the Holy Spirit were an echo of our own desires. But God never contradicts Himself. His voice doesn’t drift from the pages He already spoke. Dreams, visions, prophecies they’re real. But so is deception. And sometimes the loudest voice we hear is our own heart wearing God’s tone. If it isn’t anchored in Scripture, if it doesn’t carry His character, humility, truth, love, then it isn’t Him. Because the Spirit always agrees with the Word. The Word always leads us back to Christ. And Christ never points us away from truth. Maybe the most faithful thing we can say is not “God told me,” but “I believe this lines up with what He already said.”
