Go, Tell Them On the Mountain
They sit up there; languishing in Merry Comfortable menus Hot coffee, snacks Jacques, warm steams Nourishing bodies and souls Brandishing tables and halls. They sit up there ; 5th Hall buildings like mountains And experience tantalizing scenes Of the city and noise Women breaking their backs Children fighting over scraps of food The city-guy snatching the lady's purse Whilst they sign huge papers Sometimes in drowsy chairs To keep themselves warm. I climbed the mountain, Wanale to be specific And I saw beautiful scenes Of a life well gazetted in one setting Farmers toiling... the children busy drawing free water The church raising their agony to God "Keep our land safe" So, what do they see??? They who sit on top; that sky-scrappee mountain In offices well gazetted Do they see the plight of the chilly man or the fans in there remind them of eden Go yeah, oh you piece of writing Go remind them of tears and fears of those whose feet can not climb... Go, tell them on the mountain Jonah Brian Wepukhulu Dedicated to those voices that only admire the ones up-there, but do not enjoy the same liberties🫂
