Glue
The cracks are showing They wind around my head.. Across my faceand down my cheek. Where he hit me. You can see the shock and fear in my eyes. There on my neck You can see the disappointment. The confusion. Of one to many betrayals. Follow the crack down my chest, you'll see the glue dripping down my body From trying to put me back together. These cracks are part of me. The me who is still wondering why I'm all alone. They reveal the the moment I realized that saying "I love you" ultimately just meant it would hurt more when they let me down.. I just keep trying to glue myself back together but my heart didn't stay fixed for very long. There, see that crack? That's when I stopped trusting my own judgment. I've tried gluing that back together a million times. But the piece is missing now. I've been too trusting... Too willing... Too desparate to keep it together. You can only drop something so delicate so many times. Eventually the glue doesn't stick anymore and the pieces fall out and you have no idea where they went. They just disappear. I'm shattered. And I have no more glue left.
