glimpse of me
out there when i’m doing stuff, pretending — i feel free. not happy, but free enough to breathe. music hides the noise. tasks hide the pain. i become someone. but when it’s quiet when the night comes when everyone stops looking it breaks. i break. i sit in the dark, and the voices come back. you’re a failure you’ll never be enough they lied to you you lied to yourself i remember everything i want to forget. their words their faces my mistakes the things i didn’t say the things i can’t undo. i’m so tired. of fighting of pretending of existing i'm not made for this world i scream — but not out loud. i cry — but no one sees. they think i’m fine. i smile enough to pass. but inside, i’m sinking. help me. please. someone. just hear me.
