Glass
I can't tell If I should or shouldn't Talk about my trauma Knowing each time It comes out They walk on eggshells around me As if I’m a piece of glass Ready to shatter at any wrong move I was seeing someone At one point And anytime I wanted to hold hands They said no In fear of hurting me But in all honesty That hurt more than the action would have Because I felt I was too Dirty to be touched As if I were poison And my touch would kill them Even when I knew it wasn’t true The idea never left And to this day I still think about it
