given nothing, giving all
When someone gives her all for others, Always watching over her sister's and brothers, Radiating love wherever she goes, But how she became this, no one knows. Kindness often mistaken for weakness. The cruelty she's known no one would guess. Compassion often taken advantage of. They don't know its genuine love. Always calm when tempers rage. She's walked through fires angry blaze! Always so gentle in words and touch. At the hands of violence she suffered so much. You wouldn't believe the battles she's fought, Or what it took to find the peace she sought. She was always too much of never enough. All she was taught was how to be tough. Given crumbs of nothing, starved for love. Crying out for help from God above. Echoing silence was all that answered her call. Because she got so little, she gives all.
