Girls With Sad Eyes
Little white threads run up and down my arms and thighs Each one a story begging to be told Each one used to hide a girl begging to be held Years of tears held back by the long winding threads All forced out when I've run out of space To pain this hauntingly beautiful canvas I call my skin It burns and yerns for new white threads It itches and begs to bleed Each cut goes deeper Each scar becomes bigger I can't stop It's to late The blood on my hands is none but my own But almost none can see it It's just the girls like me who can The girls with sad eyes
