GHOSTS
Ghosts Apr 11, 2023 They lurk in my head swimming round and round, the times go bad yet they remain killing me slowly yet I still stand from where do they draw strength. They whisper to me curses or blessings they ask, my choice is divided they are all the same they crave pain beyond this world but they're not true. They ask weird questions like the beasts they are, they mock love call her an enemy but in their caves they seek company what a life they blaspheme her name cut to pieces her veils cupid your arrows are nothing they just shrug it off they bleed hate a hate so strong no one ever knows. They dwell only in darkness hurting every single heart, words are ineffective against them sisters beware their wrath brothers guard your hearts lest they pluck you assunder ugly as they are they mask themselves wolves in sheep clothing there's the pain they cause...... They linger afterwards as the pain they are, pain has a new form her names are unsaid she drinks the blood of those she hurts by those she wrecks she is unlovable beneath her scales she is venomous plead to whoever listens darkness has a new home she is now but a ghost to me... ©Adiela Michael Osiah.
