Gentle ≠ Weak
Do not mistake my grace for weakness, my forgiveness for the gentle fabric of a rug, or my love for you as a dependency upon your presence. I love you, this is my choice. I forgive you, this is in my control I give you grace, for my Father gives it to me. I am not a more honorable human I am changed and I am saved. I choose the path I walk, and I've walked miles on a razor blade for you. My blood paints the silver in which I balance. I have chosen every step I do not regret a single one. I pray for an end where my feet may walk into the ends of the earth on a path of rose petals -- Where the pain I have endured and chosen leads to the flourishing life of unity. Where I can say to my scars, "You were created for a purpose" It may seem as though I lack a spine, that I am incapable, or that I am lost. Know that I am not confused. I choose to suffer for you.
