Gentle Night
Oh, why should I trust this gentle night? It's so calm and perfect, but it doesn't feel right. Some things I see are pure delight; The sky, the stars and moon so bright. Yet, this is the time of the vulnerable heart: Where two people can bond, right from the start. They are no longer just strangers in the dark; But soulmates, together, who will never part. Soon I must leave to catch my flight. I don't want to go, the moon's at its height. Yet, leave you I must: It's a helluva plight. Oh, how can I trust this gentle night?
