Gem of the country side.
I walked through cities dressed in fire, Chased every echo of desire. In every face, a fleeting spark, But none could light what you ignite in dark. I've known the thrill of foreign skies, Of whispered names and hungry eyes. I danced with shadows, laughed with flame, But none could ever speak your name. The world was wide, and I was free, Yet still, my soul returned to thee. For though I tasted beauty's breath, Your love alone outlived the rest. You are the gem the earth concealed, The quiet truth the stars revealed. Though I have roamed and dared to dream, It's you who haunts each twilight gleam. My heart, once wild, now knows its place— Within your eyes, your voice, your grace. For all I’ve seen and left behind, It’s you, my love, who owns my mind.
