Gaza
I wish i could cut the eyes from my skull For the devastation I have seen. I view it through the barriers, I know I am safe and cannot lose my life But for everything I've seen I wish i could. Children's limbs in plastic bags, Hollow eyes above hollow cheeks, The cries of a father with no children to hold, And people documenting what could be their death. If I could I would go to them, I would die with them. I would help them dig through rubble, Collect the parts of their loved ones, And try to protect all who remain. May Allah bless all who remain. I don't believe in a God, much less in a higher power, But I pray, for these rich and vibrant souls Tattered by the hands that begged 75 years ago, That he is real, and that he may liberate From the river to the sea.
